Cliff Walmsley, a well known Jazz guitarist from
Blackpool, is pictured above playing at the Blackpool Jazz Club at the Raikes
Hotel in Blackpool. Cliff was a well known musician, artist, and a founder
member of Blackpool Jazz club which was one of the first in Europe, being
founded in 1951. A lot of people will also remember Cliff from his days playing
solo at The Lemon Tree Club & Casino at Squires Gate, Blackpool throughout
the late sixties and early seventies.
Cliff latterly played a blonde Club 60
which I still own and a Selmer Thunderbird 50 which I had stolen but replaced
with an identical one. I would be pleased to hear from anyone who worked with
my dad or anyone who remembers him.
