3. RED/CREAM & BLUE/GREY PERIOD - 1959 to 1963

The trend of using white plastic plates to display the serial number of the amplifier, which were attached to either the chassis backplate (or in some cases together with the voltage selector on a transformer) and then facilitating the viewing of this through a cut-out in the back panel, was continued over from the previous maroon/grey period. The model numbers still preceded the serial number on the plates.

The exception was the Little Giant combos, where their serial numbers were ink-stamped onto the paper warning labels on the back panels of the amplifier cases, and a preceding model reference was not included.

Serial # 8/598 - White Plastic Plate on a Red/ Cream Selmer Standard combo..

Serial # 12T/1644 - White Plastic Plate on a Blue/Grey Selmer Professional Combo. In this case mounted with the voltage selector attached to the power transformer.

Serial # 4238 - Stamped on the back panel warning label of a Red/Cream Selmer Little Giant combo.
