RSA/SELMER-TRUVOICE MODEL TV8 COMBO AMPLIFIER
COURTESY OF MATT
ARMSTRONG. EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND
This
is another early amplifier, but it has the Selmer brand-name on it. Matt tells us that inside the case is written in pencil the words "8298, C. Cross, 5/8/47." We assume that this means Model TV8, serial number 298, Charing Cross, 5 August 1947. In which case Selmer may have bought RSA somewhat earlier than December 1947 as we thought. It looks very similar to the TV10 models which follow, but with a smaller speaker, 8" or 10".
