THUNDERBIRD 100, COURTESY OF BOB ASTRIDGE, KENT, UK:
We are very grateful to Bob for copies of the photos of his old band from back in 1971. These were the only pictures that we could obtain for quite some time; that is until Seppo sent us the above photos. The T/Bird 100 is obviously a very rare amp!
(BTW - that isn't Bob in the
pictures! The guy seems to be enjoying the 100w of power though!)
Bob recalls - "I can
assure you that the Thunderbird was a 100 Watt job. It had 4 x 30 Watt
Celestions in it and weighed a ton! Spring reverb lay in base of cabinet with a
grey plastic cover over it. Footswitch for tremolo/reverb was held in side of
cabinet by a bracket. The footswitch is visible, as are hand holds in the
cabinet side, chrome trolley, tone selector switches, and the miserable two inputs only!!"
