The catalogues produced by Selmer show the Club 60 guitars available in blonde or brunette finish. This model however was also available in a fetching cherry red. These guitars also had a black finish to the rims, rear of neck and headstock. Not too many cherry guitars were produced so they tend to be hard to come by.
1958-FEATURES
Headstock
The design of headstock used on the first generation of Club 60s is rather unique, in that I am not aware of the style having been used on any other guitar in the Selmer range.
The outline comprises a very smooth contour from the nut then tapers to the top, the overall effect being a headstock narrower at the top than the bottom - a most unusual style for a Hofner.

Headstock
The head-stock design used during this year was probably the 1958 shape. It is however possible that a revised design was adopted sometime in 1959. Unfortunately I have not been able to examine a 1959 Club 60 to date.

1961/1962-FEATURES
The Club 60 remained unchanged for this period, with the exception of the electrics.
