This is a Futurama version that I have never encountered before. It has been owned from new by Chris, who purchased it in Walsall, in or around 1960, from the reputable music store H. Taylor. It appears to be basically a Czech-made Futurama II from that period, but with unusual pickups, vibrato tailpiece, bound rosewood neck, pearloid scratchplate, and unusual Futurama headstock logo.
Note the neck plate - Futurama IIs usually have
a glued-in neck without plate.
Serial No 1000 (!) stamped into the back of the headstock.
The guitar still has its original Selmer
croc-skin case.
